Turning Meetings, Demonstrations, Workshops, and Events 2007 -- 2008

Unless otherwise noted, meetings of the Chesapeake Woodturners are held at Maryland Hall in Annapolis on the 3rd Saturday each month from: 12:30 until 4:30PM (business meeting until 1:30, program until 4:30) Visitors, especially AAW members and prospective turners, are welcome to join our meetings and workshops. Location and times may change and will be noted here as well as in the Final Cut.

January 19, 2008 Meeting -- Wood Harvest at Queen Anne School : 9:30-10:00 Gather at the barn; 10-12 wood harvest; 12:00-1:30 Lunch & meeting; 1:45 - 4:30 wood harvest.  Morning coffee/donuts and lunch are a fund raiser for Queen Anne School woodturners.
February 21, 2008 //  THURSDAY  // 7:00PM - 9:00PM Meeting -- at Mark Supik's woodturning shop in Baltimore: demo--Jerry Kermode on bowls and hollow form techniques.  Directions

April 19 Meeting @ 12:30 at Quiet Waters Park in conjunction with Earth Day demos; Volunteer to Bill Kost

May 17 Meeting @ 12:30 at MD Hall -- Warren Dunlop, wood dealer about wood// MEMBERS ONE CHANCE ONLY to deliver your pieces for the Maryland Federation of Art exhibit that will install on May 19. Contact Chuck Engstrom with questions after you check over the DETAILS.
May 21-- June 22 Maryland Federation of the Art members show in the Circle Gallery, Annapolis Details from Chuck Engstrom
May 31- June 1 Chesapeake Bay Wine Festival, Terrapin Nature Park, Stevensville.  Members are invited to demonstrate and sell -- no booth fee/no commission. Details
June 1 Opening reception for Maryland Federation of the Art exhibit.  State Circle, Annapolis.
June 14-15 Columbia Festival of the Arts -- demonstrations and sales. Volunteer to Bill Kost
June 19-22 22nd AAW Symposium in Richmond, VA
August  16 Turn Out 2007 -- Kinder Farm Park -- Lunch, blacksmith demo, instant gallery, raffle, family fun and all about woodturning!  A-G (dessert); H-O (side dish); P-Z (bottled water and sodas).
September 27-28 Quiet Waters Park Arts Festival -- demonstrations
