The Turnout, CW's annual picnic, will be held at Lou Rudinski's place again this year, starting at 11:30 AM on August 19. The location is in Kinder Farm Park off Jumpers Hole Road.

The address:146 Gali Sanchez Way, Millersville, Md 21108. As you enter the park, turn left before the gatehouse, proceed to the last parking lot, past all the sporting fields, and look for the signs to park on the lawn area behind the brick house. early arrivals are most welcome to help set up tables and chairs, cover tables, shuck corn, or just enjoy the day in the park.

For the newer people, here's the drill; the club supplies the hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, and chicken to grill; buns are also provided. The club also supplies ice, plates, cups, plastic ware. Lou as usual will supply fresh picked corn to compliment the meal. We ask that each attendee bring either a side dish, a dessert, or sodas and water enough to feed 6-8 people. If your name starts with A - G, bring either water, soda, etc., from H - O bring a side dish, and P - Z should bring dessert.

We will have a table set up for Show and Tell, bring your latest masterpiece, and be prepared to chat about it. Start with type(s) of wood, tools and finish used, goals, set backs, and a critique if brave enough.

We will have the infamous Chesapeke Woodturners raffle, each person donates an item(s) to the raffle, old books on turning, or woodworking, old tools, a turned item, wood blanks, or anything creative. Tickets are $0.50 each, we will place a cup next to each item, after signing each ticket you purchase, you may place as many tickets as you wish in a specific cup(s). One ticket is drawn from each cup, that person wins that item. There is no limit on winning ( or losing ) It'a a lot of fun, most everyone goes home with something.

This year Gene Adcock has made arrangements for a friend to donate a Dewalt Surface Planer ( Model DW733 ). A separate raffle will be held, tickets are $5.00 each, again the strategy is;  the more tickets purchased, the better the odds of winning.
