Saturday, March 21st Meeting with Jamie Donaldson

Post date: Mar 20, 2015 9:43:50 PM

Hi Everyone,

Well, if we're not snowed in this Saturday, March 21st, thaw out your car and drive on down to Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis and join us for the monthly meeting of the Chesapeake Woodturners. This month's demonstrator will be Jamie Donaldson who will be showing us variations on square form lidded and unlidded vessels.

The Final Cut Newsletter is posted here. Thanks Ted for another great issue.

Please remember to put together a package of those bowls that we all have just lying around half finished. Finish them up as these bowls will contribute greatly to help the cause of Project Echo. Project Echo's main fund raising effort is in the Empty Bowl Supper where our bowls are auctioned off along with ceramic bowls. We've done well in supporting them in the past and hopefully this will continue this year. Project Echo provides nearly 11,920 bed nights and 26,265 hot, nutritious meals and more every year. The Empty Bowl supper is a large part of that effort, so please bring any bowls that you would like to donate to the March Meeting. Dave Wardrup will be picking up the bowls at the meeting as the Empty Bowl Supper is on the evening of the 21st.

Thanks to all of you who entered pieces into the Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) show. Charlie Goedeke did a terrific job organizing the event and we ended up with 62 pieces from 22 turners.

See you Saturday,

Doug Bartos

President, Chesapeake Woodturner
