THE FEBRUARY 16 MEETING OF THE CHESAPEAKE WOODTURNERS IS CANCELLED DUE TO PREDICTED RAIN AND SNOW

Regrettably the weather forecast for this Saturday morning is bad – with little chance that there won’t be some form of precipitation. It is the consensus of the club’s officers and of our host that this makes our planned wood harvest too hazardous – to say nothing of unpleasant. We don’t want to risk any injuries and also don’t want people driving to and from the meeting on what might be very slippery roads. Unfortunately, we missed good weather by only a day as Friday is predicted to be warm and sunny.

We will try to reschedule the wood harvest on a weekend day in the Spring when there’s greater likelihood of good weather. When we do this, it will not take the place of one of our upcoming regular meetings since the program schedule for those meetings is already worked out. So stay home this Saturday; stay warm; and consider spending the morning doing some turning. It’ll also be a good morning to read this month’s edition of The Final Cut – perhaps with a second cup of coffee or hot chocolate
